Covid-19 research in Bangladesh: A scientometric analysis during 2020-23

Objective. We examined the bibliometric characteristics of 3616 Bangladesh’s publications on Covid-19 during 2020-2023. For this purpose, we used quantitative and qualitative indicators.
 Design/Methodology/Approach. Bangladesh 2020-2023 were retrieved using Scopus database. From each record, data title, author, organizations, journal, publication type source, country, collaboration, funding, topic keywords. They exported to MS-Excell for analysis, VOSviewer software was analyzing keyword co-occurrence networks.
 Results/Discussion. The Bangladesh-related papers in database constitute papers, which hold 50th global rank with 0.75% share output registered 14.63 average citations per article (CPP). 732 (21.52%) out attracted external funding support, 2493 (72.28%) have participated international collaboration. U.K., USA, India Saudi Arabia contributed most collaborative papers. University Dhaka, Jahangirnagar University, North South Daffodil International productive organizations. In contrast, CHINTA Research, Khulna Engineering & Technology, Jashore Science Technology highest impact. preferred communication channels PLOS One, Heliyon, Frontiers Public Health Annals Medicine Surgery. Asian Journal Psychiatry, IEEE Access, Total Environment BMJ Global citations. Clinical studies frequent category, followed by epidemiology, risk factors diagnosis. adults middle-aged formed largest population age groups, aged, children adolescents.
 Conclusion. analysis research has evolved interest, including Bangladesh. first time, present study throws light current status trends development efforts
